Planner/Buyer
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Planner/Buyer to join our team. In this position, you will lead various aspects of planning and strategy, implementing both top-down and bottom-up approaches to ensure our company meets and exceeds its financial goals and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a data-driven self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of wholesale, inventory, merchandise, and DTC planning. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Planning Develop 12-month forward-looking projections for Core SKUs; manage to a WOS target and implement monthly buys with production partners. Forecast receipts weekly by customer to understand timing and flow of goods. Update and distribute daily reports tracking sales by customer, by profit center and product line projecting flow by month at retail, cost, IMU, and units. Monitor and analyze weekly sales, item performance, and inventory flow to adjust strategies for maximizing sales, margins, and turn. Manage budgets and track profitability, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and delivering financial results. Manage and enhance analytics in ad hoc Omni reporting. Translate top-down financial goals into merchandise plans and maintain in-season forecasts. Assist with weekly and monthly reporting to Centric. Merchandise and Assortment Planning Set seasonal sales and margin goals, reconciling forecasts from both top-down and bottom-up perspectives before finalization. Participate in product reviews with sales and design teams to ensure alignment to financial plans. Responsible for developing and executing buying strategies, managing inventory, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive business growth and achieve financial targets. Support the market process by preparing assortment targets by account/country. Communicate regularly with senior leadership on category performance, opportunities for growth, and adjustments to the buying strategy. Create lineplans with new category opportunities, hindsight analysis, style and SKU plans and retail targets. Manage style and SKU count during the development process and provide updates throughout the season to design, production, and product development. Produce weekly, monthly, and seasonal reports with a high level of accuracy, including analyzing reports and making recommendations for next steps. Responsible for hindsight analysis and set up of OTB in preparation for each market. Maintain and analyze size selling data to apply to the seasonal buys and create size breaks for orders. Maintain visual buy boards for each season. Partner with digital marketing for email selection and promotional strategies. Our best fit candidate would have: Minimum 3-5 years planning/buying experience. Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFs, VLOOKUPS, Pivot tables) with ability to manage large data sets. Strong understanding of retail math and business acumen with attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, and financial planning. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and leadership. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and projects with a sense of urgency. Bachelor's Degree.
