Salary Range:

$140,000 - $145,000 and offers a hybrid schedule.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Electrical Engineer

to lead and contribute to the design and development of complex building systems across a variety of sectors, including mission-critical facilities, healthcare, commercial, and life sciences. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical design using advanced engineering software. Perform voltage drop, short-circuit, breaker coordination, and Arc Flash studies. Design emergency and standby power systems in compliance with NEC Articles 700-702. Specify electrical equipment (UPSs, Panels, Transformers, etc.) and size feeders and overcurrent protection. Validate Title 24 compliance using EnergyPro and COMCheck. Design electrical room layouts and main service entrances. Lead design efforts for mission-critical/data center projects. Contribute to MV and HV system design, including substations, relays, and transformers. Coordinate with utility companies and project stakeholders. Prepare project documentation, budgets, scopes, and schedules. Conduct life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) and return on investment (ROI) studies. Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed throughout the design process. Review technical drawings, specifications, and shop submittals. Mentor junior engineers and designers; assign tasks and review work. Lead site observations and participate in client presentations and project meetings. Ensure compliance with building codes, energy codes, and LEED standards. Maintain strong client relationships and act as primary contact when needed. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in electrical design and project leadership. Certifications:

PE license preferred; LEED Accreditation and BMS experience a plus. Technical Skills:

Proficient in Revit, BIM 360, SKM Power Tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam. Knowledge:

Strong understanding of NEC, Title 24, and California/local building codes. Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

. The expected salary range is

$140,000 - $145,000

, depending on experience, education, and other relevant factors.
