Administrative Position Summary

The SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the organizations SharePoint Online environment. This role ensures the efficient operation of the intranet, supports collaboration and communication across the organization, and manages the security and integrity of the SharePoint Online platform. This position ensures sites are secure and responds to security issues and troubleshoots and resolves a variety of SharePoint Online issues. This role involves content management, ensuring that the intranet is up-to-date, relevant, and engaging for users. The Administrator will collaborate with content creators and department leads to organize and maintain information in a way that is easily accessible and useful. The SharePoint Administrator is a key player in fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment, driving digital transformation, and supporting the organizations strategic objectives. The SharePoint Administrator will administer other Office 365 applications such as Microsoft Teams and OneDrive as needed. This position requires varying leadership styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following are the functions essential to performing this job: Manage and configure SharePoint Online sites, libraries, lists, permissions and workflows to meet the organizations needs. Provide technical support and training to users on SharePoint Online functionalities and best practices. Implement and maintain security and permissions for SharePoint Online to ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational standards. Oversee the creation, organization, and maintenance of content on the intranet, ensuring it is up-to-date and relevant. Work with IT and other departments to integrate SharePoint Online with other systems and customize the platform to enhance user experience. Monitor the performance of SharePoint Online and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption. Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures related to SharePoint Online administration. Partner and coordinate with Marketing and Communications (MarCom) to ensure alignment of SharePoint content with brand, messaging, and overall MarCom plans and strategies. Configure and customize SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, permissions, and security. Research industry good practices and follow those good practices for Intranet development, content, Intranet security, and Intranet management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement Intranet/SharePoint Online features. Coordinate and manage projects related to SharePoint/intranet. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field Good collaboration and project management skills to work effectively with cross functional teams Three or more years of experience SharePoint Site Administration and management experience Previous administration experience with Microsoft 365 applications Desired Qualifications

Previous administrator experience with Windows servers including IIS Previous development experience for websites/intranets Experience with PowerShell scripting Previous experience managing higher education Intranet sites Excellent critical thinking, analytical, problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with additional on-call availability as required. Full/Part Time
