ACADEMIC OPHTHALMOLOGY GLAUCOMA SPECIALIST -

DEPARTMENT OF OPHTHALMOLOGY & VISUAL SCIENCES The MCW Department of Ophthalmology is seeking an academically oriented glaucoma specialist to join the faculty at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. This is an open-rank, full-time position in a clinician-educator track. The positions clinical activity is primarily undertaken at the Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Eye Institute and possibly one or two half-days per week at satellite clinics; however, ophthalmology faculty members also provide clinical coverage at the Childrens Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital, and Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, and ample opportunities to teach Ophthalmology residents. The eye and vision group on campus is a physician-led department consisting of 36 physicians, nine optometrists, and five research PhDs. Successful candidates should bring strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCWs academic missions. Candidates must be board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology, completion of Glaucoma Fellowship program, eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin, and an interest in clinical or basic science research is desirable and could be supported with start-up.
