Overview

Senior Process Engineer at Dennis Group. Dennis Group designs and builds food and beverage processing facilities. Process Engineers work in every aspect of a project controls, packaging, mechanical, electrical, building systems, architecture, etc., from conceptual stages through design completion and construction. They provide expertise in flow diagrams, alterations, constraints, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), layout, install, commissioning and start-up. Process engineers enable operational efficiencies for the food and beverage process plants of our clients. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Responsibilities

Execute all tasks necessary to complete the engineering on a project for design through execution with minimal support Develop process design basis and select unit operations Develop operation specifications Coordinate with other project disciplines (engineers, designers, architects, etc.) Prepare process flow and piping and instrumentation diagrams Create process flow diagrams Prepare mass and energy balances Sizing and specification of process and process utility equipment Equipment procurement and bid evaluation Assist project management with the development of project scope, budget and schedule for all process-related work Coordinate schedules and work of contractors for process equipment installation Prepare preliminary sub-contractor scope of work Work with clients, vendors, and suppliers to develop cost estimates and proposals Write proposals, negotiate agreements, troubleshoot client issues Update drawings provided by senior engineers to verify corrections Compile information for client presentations, shop drawings review, and contract administration for the design of power, process, and pipeline systems Take on lead process engineer on specific projects and serve as the client main process point of contact Generate requirements for equipment performance Collaborate with Project Management, design team, CAD department, vendors and clients to determine needs and solutions for continuous processing/packaging systems and develop specifications Provide client assumptions on supply recommendations Develop process and instrumentation drawings (P&IDs) and review layout drawings Oversee process and utility equipment installations Provide onsite construction start-up and commissioning support Perform onsite audits and surveys of the facilities and equipment Research processing engineering best practices Support talent growth within our organization Assist with interviewing and hiring new team members Handle complex issues with minimal supervision and advise subordinate team members on solutions Provide coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group when directed by supervisor Qualifications

Bachelors degree in chemical or process engineering 8-11 years of work experience developing process designs for food and beverage processing facilities 8-11 years of work experience preparing process flow diagrams and P&IDs 8-11 years of work experience sizing and specification of process and process utility equipment 8-11 years of work experience developing project scope, budget and process-related work schedules Experience with professional services, process engineering, and food and beverage firms is a plus Interest in food safety and sanitary design principles and a desire to learn about various industry standards, practices, and regulations Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD Excellent oral and written communication skills with client interaction experience Travel requirement on-site construction project coordination and management with travel between 30-50% of the year Physical & Travel Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds Up to 50% travel required to visit project sites and other offices About Us
