SHIFT

Monday-Thursday 5 pm - 4 am

POSITION SUMMARY

The Materials Handler will perform tasks associated with the material handling process at RealTruck, including receiving materials, stocking, and inventory control, primarily using powered industrial trucks.

CORE FUNCTIONS

Load and unload raw materials from trailers; verifies accuracy against PO and packing slip in WMS.

Receive material deliveries, verifies items and quantities to PO, and acquires proper paperwork.

Efficiently moves materials to and from point of use, ensuring product quality is maintained.

Responsible for accurate takeaways or replacements of Kanban racks and empty racks.

Ensure product is properly labeled with part number, name, and quantity; rotates stock as needed.

Receive returned product; verifies warranty status; updates WMS; prepares product for disposal or return to stock.

Maintain accurate inventory; conducts cycle counts; transfers product in WMS; investigates and resolves variances.

Train other employees, maintain a clean and safe workspace, other duties as assigned.

Operate a company vehicle in accordance with established traffic and transportation procedures and laws.

Communicate effectively with all departments and supervisors/leads.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED .

6-12 months of related experience and/or training required.

2-5 years of related experience and/or training .

Previous forklift experience .

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

Skilled in the operation of powered industrial trucks, pallet jack, tape gun.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to count and perform basic math.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Individual Contributor: working team member with no oversight of others and no management responsibilities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position is subject to Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

This position is subject to the following physical activities: climbing, balancing, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, talking, and hearing.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.). The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.

Working Conditions

The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
