Anti-Tamper (AT) Security Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring for "Anti-Tamper (AT) Security Engineer" in Clifton, NJ; Palm Bay, FL; and Plano, TX. Looking for a skilled Anti-Tamper (AT) Security Engineer to lead and support AT implementation across the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC). This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders to ensure the protection of Critical Program Information (CPI) and the development of secure, trustworthy systems. You will do: Lead AT strategy and execution throughout the SDLC. Assess systems for CPI using DoD 5200.39 guidelines. Conduct trade studies and threat assessments (attack/countermeasure analysis). Develop and implement AT requirements and security architectures. Perform Verification and Validation (V&V) activities. Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in AT. Draft Program Protection Implementation Plans (PPIPs), Cybersecurity Strategies, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and AT Plans. Collaborate with customers to define AT requirements, solutions, cost impacts, and effectiveness. Support software selection and approval processes for COTS, GOTS, and FOSS. Contribute to security engineering activities including requirements development, design, testing, configuration management, and system maintenance. Assist in policy and procedure development for emerging security technologies. Support evaluation, testing, and delivery of security architecture improvements and vulnerability response projects. Conduct security testing and verification. This is a 12 month with possible extension opportunity. Clearance Required: Secret (Active TS/SCI Clearance is highly desired). Qualification Must have: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, OR Graduate degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, OR In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of relevant experience. Ability to obtain and maintain DoD 8140 (or NIST 800-181) certification within 6 months of start. Prefer: Experience with NIST 800-160 for secure systems engineering. Familiarity with NIST 800-53 for assessing security and privacy controls in embedded systems. Hands-on experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) steps 14 and Body of Evidence (BoE) package development. RMF accreditation experience for Platform IT (PIT) systems. Proficiency with cyber defense tools such as ACAS and SCC. Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptographic device certification. Knowledge of NSA High Assurance products, IASRD, and SERD requirements.
