GENERAL SUMMARY The Benefits Partner is primarily responsible in the administration of all types of benefit programs and leaves of absence administration in accordance with Pechanga Resort Casinos policies and procedures. As an integral part of the Talent Management team, the Benefits Partner acts as an internal consultant and primary point of contact for Team Members regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, and other benefits related matters. Key Responsibilities

Determine benefit eligibility, distribute benefit enrollment materials, and assist Team Members with enrollment in benefits programs, such as health insurance and retirement savings. Conduct health insurance presentations. Act as a liaison with insurance and savings providers on behalf of Team Members and the Company. Keep Team Member benefits records up-to-date and inform Team Members of any changes. Assist with payroll benefit deductions. Ensure that the Company's benefits policy complies with laws and regulations. Determine proper course of action to resolve escalated customer service issues. Administer and respond to Child Support Orders in a timely manner. Scan and index documents for Team Member files. Assist Team Members in the use of Team Member Self Service (TMSS). Maintain the Benefit & Wellness website to enhance understanding of the Companys benefit packages. Work with Sr. Benefits Partner and HR Business Partners on new or complicated LOA and/or work accommodation (i.e., light duty, modified work) requests. Additional Responsibilities Maintain awareness of federal, state, and local leave of absence and benefit laws and regulations including, but not limited to, HIPAA, COBRA, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and section 125 provisions. Participate on committees and special projects. Promote open communication that positively resolves employee leave and benefit issues, while promoting and maintaining the integrity of Team Member and the organization. Perform daily work with high level of detail and with minimal supervision. Handle moderately complex issues and problems, and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possess a solid working knowledge of benefits administration. Bilingual is a plus. Health insurance background preferred. Other duties as assigned. Accountability: This position does not have any supervisory or managerial responsibilities. Incumbent is responsible for protecting the assets of Pechanga Resort Casino and for maintaining and providing a positive and professional work environment. Qualifications and Guidelines

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Three (3) years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required to successfully perform this job. COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the Company. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Intermediate Skills. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and ability to multiply and divide by 10 and 100. Ability to perform these operations using units of U.S. currency, weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY:

Intermediate Skills. Ability to use reasoning and understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved, written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems while remaining flexible and adaptable to help ensure the desired outcome. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must qualify to obtain and maintain a Class A gaming license. PHR or SHRM-CP certificate preferred. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Advanced level Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft SharePoint; Adobe Acrobat Pro; DocuSign; must be able to create mail merge documents. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload. Must conduct oneself in a professional and ethical demeanor at all times, including in stressful situations. Strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment. Comfortable with change and ability to adapt quickly. Excellent desk/computer/workflow organizational skills. Ability to manage a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable workload. Ability to guide processes to closure. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and within tight timelines. Must have excellent people skills, communication skills, and telephone etiquette. Must be a self-starter who is highly motivated and resourceful. Must be able to work with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and culturally diverse casino environment. Must be flexible and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must demonstrate strong attention to detail. Must demonstrate excellent customer service.
