After initial screening from our Human Resources Department, applicants may be invited for an interview based on 1) the current needs of the organization, and 2) how closely the candidate's skills, abilities, application responses, characteristics, and prior experience match the position(s) we are looking to fill.
The Reconditioning technician is responsible for inspecting, servicing and repairing used vehicles as assigned by the Reconditioning team. The primary focus is to identify and repair safety and drivability issues on used vehicles before they are sold to customers.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license, a clean driving record, at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience, post-secondary automotive training, ASE Certification (or is willing to obtain certification), and a strong technical performance record.
Responsibilities
Conduct a thorough inspection on used vehicles, accurately documenting mechanical, electrical, or performance issues.
Expertly diagnoses issues based on experience, analysis, and testing
Maintains an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles' complex components work and interact
Maintains leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with this position
Must have at least 3 years experience and/ or training
Post high school tech school or ASE certification desired
Must have an impressive work-ethic
Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Must have an unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
Must be able to operate a standard-transmission vehicle
