Overview
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and emergency maintenance requirements on; Electric Controls, Electric Motors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Conveyor Systems, and Welding Machines. Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.
Responsibilities
Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, electrical systems, pneumatic tools, hydraulic equipment, and welding equipment. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing metrics. Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime. Safely operate cranes, power tools, hoists and hand tools. Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers, calipers and specifications. Maintain parts and tools inventory. Prepare maintenance reports and summary presentations using daily activity logs, analysis and trends. Maintain electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical knowledge via on-going training, industry workshops and technical reading. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and equipment needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedure, rules, and regulation. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications
Required
Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance Advanced understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics Understanding of electrical systems and PLC's Comfortable with computers Capable of operating hand, power and specialized tools Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Team player and willing to work with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving and communication skills High school diploma or GED Preferred
Understanding of PLC's and field device such as but not limited to photo eyes, proximity sensors, and transducers. Experience with stepper motors and drives. Familiar with Fanuc Robotics systems. Advance technical or college training.
