Regional Operations Excellence Lead
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Supply Chain Operations, the Regional Operational Excellence Leader is responsible for working closely with regional plant leadership and cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve issues impacting operational performance. Examples of these issues include rate, yield, crewing, and quality challenges which have a material impact on FPMP and/or Supply Chain performance. Please note that this role will be located at our Grand Prairie, TX site with travel (up to 50%) to the other NAM sites. Responsibilities
Performing "Deep Dive" analysis into operational issues to identify root causes alone and in partnership with plant resources including engineering and OpEx teams Helping facilitate and promote plant to plant OpEx best practices. Providing insights into senior leadership for operational improvement opportunities. Resolving operational challenges. Performing data analysis using SAP, Power BI, and various support programs to analyze key business metrics and identify opportunities to increase performance. Identifying opportunities and supporting plants in transforming the opportunities into executable action plans. Supporting performance improvement initiative pipeline growth and health. Participating in financial management calls, taking action and leading investigations as applicable. Reviewing monthly trends and understanding categories which are over/underperforming. Leading regional operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts and providing guidance and expertise on which approach and methodologies to use. Partnering with Supply Chain Operations leaders to ensure improvement efforts are completed in a timely manner. Directly leading and/or participating in kaizen events and other continuous improvement efforts. Teaching, demonstrating and coordinate lean implementation efforts and activities on the manufacturing/production floor such as Kanban, Material Conveyance, Production flow, Super Market design and deployment, Value Stream Mapping, Takt time analysis, Problem-Solving, Standardized work, Set-up reduction, 5S, Visual Workplace, and Error-Proofing, 5S, TPM, SMED/QCO, Visual Factory, Kaizen, Scheduling, etc. Assisting plant Lean teams in sustaining gains achieved in Lean efforts. Supporting management team in identifying and implementing best practices. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering 5+ years of experience of directly relevant experience within a role focused on Operational Excellence and/or Continuous Improvement Prior experience in a similar role within Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations Prior experience leading operational excellence and/or continuous improvements efforts across multiple plant locations within a region Lean Six Sigma Certification Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles Knowledge of financial measurements and goals in a fast-paced business Strong data analytics capability with working knowledge of Power BI Strong project management skills Demonstrated success in leading and driving sustained changes on the manufacturing/production floor Demonstrated success leading kaizen events focused on Supply Chain or Manufacturing Operations Ability to teach, coach and lead advanced training in Lean methodologies, 5S, SMED, VSM, Kaizen and other continuous improvement methodologies Ability to communicate effectively across all levels within the organization Ability to travel within the US up to 50% travel (as applicable) Why Work At Sealed Air?
