The Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to pick up donations, deliver goods, and support overall thrift store operations. This role involves interacting with donors, customers, and staff while ensuring items are handled with care and transported efficiently. Job Functions
Safely operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver donated goods, furniture, and other items. Load and unload donations, ensuring items are handled respectfully and securely. Provide excellent customer service when interacting with donors and customers during pickups or deliveries. Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with sorting, moving, and staging donations in the warehouse or store as needed. Follow all traffic laws, safety policies, and organizational procedures. Support store staff with furniture placement, moving heavy items, or general operations. Represent the thrift store's mission and values in the community. Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous driving or delivery experience preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and move items up to 50-75 lbs. Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and proper loading procedures. Frequent lifting, bending, and moving heavy items. Driving in varied weather and traffic conditions. Warehouse and retail store environment.
