Job Description Under general supervision, provides project management support, construction management support, cost and schedule analysis, reporting, and general project controls support. Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for resolving difficult project control problems through industry-related technical knowledge, designing innovative shortcuts, and reviewing engineering alternatives. Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts status against an established baseline schedule. Understands construction methodology, identifies potential issues and impacts, and proposes corrective actions. Assesses the impact of design or construction changes, including cost growth and schedule slippages. Evaluates proposed process improvements, RFIs, and differing site conditions for impacts on cost and schedule. Utilizes knowledge and experience to track progress, coordinate submittals and reviews with the project team and stakeholders. Reviews contractor equipment logs, timesheets, invoices, and contracts to ensure proper utilization of equipment and personnel. Reviews contractor schedules for accuracy and alignment with the master schedule, and validates project milestones and sequencing. Assists in processing project change notices and reports changes through Freeport’s Change Management System. Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports. Performs other duties as required. Applies engineering, procurement, and construction terminology and concepts to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Validates reported progress percentages through spot checks and design document reviews. Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or GED with five (5) years’ experience in engineering, construction, project controls, or related fields, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field with two (2) years’ experience in Project Controls or similar. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask in a high-paced project environment. Preferred: Experience with ERP systems, SAP, P6, and EcoSys. Project development experience. What We Offer You The estimated annual pay range for this role is $72,000-$98,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonuses, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills, and other factors. Additional discretionary and incentive payments may be available based on performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
