USF Health is a regional branch of the University of South Florida that houses the academic medical center comprised of Morsani College of Medicine, College of Public Health, Taneja College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, and School of Physical Therapy. Central Human Resources (CHR) includes areas such as Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Classification & Compensation, Employee and Labor Relations, Continuous Process Improvement, HRIS, HR Business Partners, and Talent and Learning Management. USF Human Resources is undergoing a multi-year transformation to develop a Human Resources strategy that supports a competitive workforce aligned with the university's strategic plan. The USF Health Office of Human Resources partners with CHR to provide services and support to USF Health team members, fostering a positive work culture that encourages collaboration, openness, and appreciation, thereby reducing employee turnover. The HR Business Partner I - Health acts as a liaison between employees/managers and the HR function, working to create a positive workplace culture through university policies, programs, and practices. This role reports to the Director of Health HR or other senior leaders. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of HR experience, or a combination of education and experience that equates to this requirement. Equivalent experience: 4 years of relevant experience for a bachelor's degree, 6 years for a master's degree. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in higher education HR. Experience with Oracle HCM. Conducts routine meetings with administrative units to assess HR needs. Provides administrative HR support and partners with HR areas of expertise. Completes HR actions, prepares offer letters, updates descriptions. Supports visa processes and onboarding activities. Supports recruitment efforts and provides training to hiring managers. Prepares reports from HRIS system. Assists with payroll functions and compliance. Handles basic HR issues, escalating complex ones as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
