Control Systems Technician

System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues in control systems, including PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), SCADA systems, and other automation equipment. Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and calibrate control systems, sensors, actuators, and related instrumentation to meet operational requirements. Programming and Optimization: Program, modify, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices to improve system performance and reliability. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on control systems to ensure consistent operation and compliance with safety standards. Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and system integrations. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, system configurations, and programming changes. Update technical documentation, including schematics and manuals. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NEC), and company policies. Ensure control systems meet regulatory and environmental requirements. Emergency Response: Provide rapid response to equipment failures or system malfunctions to minimize production downtime. Qualifications

Education: Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical engineering, automation, controls technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. Experience: 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, controls systems, or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi). Familiarity with HMI Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control circuits. Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., ISA Certified Control Systems Technician, Rockwell Automation certifications) are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods. May require occasional work at heights or in varying environmental conditions. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotics, servo systems, or motion control. Knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices for control systems.
