Overview
Environmental Engineer - Relocate to Saudi Arabia. Candidate must relocate to Saudi Arabia. Aramco energizes the world economy and operates as one of the largest producers of hydrocarbon energy and chemicals, with a focus on decarbonization and sustainability within its Global Manufacturing Excellence organization. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization to work under the Decarbonization and Sustainability Division, providing environmental protection and performance support. This division assists facilities in deploying decarbonization, energy and environmental programs and initiatives, identifying operational challenges, and developing engineering solutions to improve energy efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Monitor facility operating plans and objectives to ensure alignment with environmental protection policies and applicable standards. Conduct full environmental assessments and provide recommendations. Develop, review and implement a Green House Gas (GHG) management program including data collection, analysis and reporting. Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and support preparation for GHG third-party audits. Monitor air quality, wastewater and water conservation, and waste management performance. Establish environmental KPIs aligned with company policies and strategies. Develop, review and deploy facilities environmental management systems in alignment with ISO 14001. Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines. Conduct internal environmental performance benchmarking among oil and gas refineries. Stay abreast of international and regional regulations concerning emissions, waste management, water and wastewater to ensure compliance. Collaborate with stakeholders, including field engineers, executives, and regulatory bodies, to align with industry needs. Analyze complex data sets related to emissions, equipment efficiency, and other parameters to derive actionable insights. Organize technical exchange workshops among oil and gas refineries. Develop and deliver training materials to promote environmental awareness among refinery personnel. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering. 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries. Knowledge of the oil & gas refining industry and its environmental challenges and risks. Knowledge of global/governmental environmental policies, regulations and standards. Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) certification (preferred). Expertise in sustainability data, calculation methodologies and limitations. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in environmental engineering. Familiarity with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and its requirements. Experience in developing decarbonization roadmaps, GHG baselines and target setting. Proficient computer and presentation skills. Strong management and coordination abilities. Good command of English, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure. Working environment
