Talent Consultants is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry, strong mathematical skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and materials. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather information, evaluate project requirements, and develop comprehensive estimates that align with budgetary constraints and project deadlines. Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Estimating Scopes:
Earthwork
Roadway
Utilities (waterline, storm, and sanitary sewer)
Concrete Flatwork
Concrete Structures
Deep Foundations
Conduct takeoffs and quantity surveys to determine the necessary materials and labor for construction projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather information on project requirements.
Research and analyze market conditions to determine competitive pricing for materials and labor.
Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients and maintain communication throughout the bidding process.
Monitor project budgets and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of estimates, changes, and correspondence throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay up to date with industry trends, construction techniques, and materials.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field .
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or similar roles.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
Proficient with Bluebeam Revu
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with diverse teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
