Dewberry's Electric Vehicle (EV) Design Group is seeking a Utility Coordinator for its national EV programs. The ideal candidate would be in Boston, MA, Parsippany, NJ, Richmond, VA, Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL market office locations. We are open to remote candidates who meet the position criteria. This position includes managing utility coordination (power) for electric vehicle projects. Ability to coordinate with the utility companies, engineering, and clients is essential. The right individual must be client facing with the ability to train and develop team members to support the utility effort. Responsibilities: Our growing, fast-paced business sector, which focuses on Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, is seeking a client focused, highly motivated, organized, outgoing, and aggressive individual to lead & grow our Utility Coordination program. This role will play a key role in our ability to deliver national scale programs to our clients. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to build a team to support our expanding EV program. The Utility Coordinator Role would be responsible for: Initiating outreach with the power utility to determine project feasibility. Opening a work order and providing load letters based on parameters. Actively tracking work order and utility design status with weekly updates to the client. Developing standard operating procedures (SOP) for consistent project delivery. Manage a program tracking system (excel, Smartsheets, etc) with real time updates for client managers and clients. Reviewing all utility design requirements and providing that to our design teams for integration into the construction documents. Developing a national database for all utilities requirements and contacts. QA/QC review of construction documents for conformance to utility requirements. Training and managing staff supporting utility coordination efforts. Required Skills & Required Experience: BS preferred. Previous electrical and EV experience is a plus. Previous utility coordination experience with expanded levels of responsibility required (3+ years preferred) Additional Characteristics of a successful candidate: Ability to manage projects independently, prioritize work assignments, responsiveness, organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and excellent verbal communication are required for success in this fast-paced, high project volume environment. Salary Range: The projected range for this position is $66,063 to $84,938 annually. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly. These ranges are for NJ only.
