Overview
Director of Enrollment Management (Admissions Director) Macaulay Honors College. Base pay range: $126,333.00/yr $141,643.00/yr. Position details describe collaboration with eight of CUNYs senior campuses, an elite undergraduate program, personalized advisement, and funding for study abroad, internships, and research. Class size is approximately 550 entering students distributed across five NYC boroughs. The Director reports to the Associate Dean for Student Services and Engagement and oversees all aspects of the enrollment management process, including recruitment, selection, and retention initiatives. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a strategic enrollment and recruitment plan with measurable goals and objectives. Direct, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of the enrollment process. In partnership with Marketing, oversee production of recruitment and application materials. Develop and implement recruitment events; communicate clearly about Macaulay Honors College, partner campuses, and enrollment processes to students, families, and stakeholders. Direct recruitment efforts, including an annual recruitment calendar; represent Macaulay at internal and external events. Manage recruitment travel budget and ensure visibility at high school fairs, transfer fairs, and relevant community events. Develop enrollment models and statistical reports; interpret data on recruitment, applications, and admissions; produce student profile reports predicting enrollment success. Oversee and manage staff and daily operations of the Enrollment Management Office. Provide leadership in administrative, enrollment, and operations matters; evaluate recruitment outcomes and recommend improvements. Develop relationships with internal stakeholders (Macaulay Honors College, CUNY Central, and partner colleges) and external stakeholders (high school counselors, community college partners). Ensure all admissions documents are accurately collected, processed, recorded, and filed in compliance with policies. Supervise retention initiatives to support students with honors degree requirements; oversee the Admissions Ambassadors program. Leverage technology to streamline processes and communications; collaborate with Alumni Affairs to create and utilize Alumni Admissions Recruiters programs. Represent Macaulay on college and CUNY-wide committees; perform other related tasks as assigned by the Associate Dean. Qualifications
Bachelors Degree and eight years of related experience required. A Masters degree and eight years of supervisory admissions and/or retention experience in higher education preferred. Demonstrated ability to meet enrollment targets and direct experience with student recruitment. Knowledge of higher education policies, practices, and administration; experience with labor, community, and non-profit institutions. Excellent written, oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; effective team-building and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Competence in computer applications (internet research, MS Office, social media); knowledge of admissions applications and CRM systems; Hobsons Education Solutions and CUNYfirst experience preferred. Ability to work evenings/weekends and travel domestically. CUNY Eligibility Note:
