Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor, the Assembler I is responsible for performing a variety of operations to assemble, test, inspect and pack a diversified number exhaust ventilation, kitchen ventilation or service parts.
Job Responsibilities:
• Fit, align, fasten, and package sheet metal parts, motors, electronics, molded parts into sub-assemblies and complete units. Visually inspect for fit and function. Non-conformities may require disassembly and rework.
• Test units for electrical continuity and functionality.
• Package units into corrugated containers with shipping filler and identify with all applicable labels.
• Work from assembly drawings, process sheets and/or standard work to perform assembly operations in a consistent, safe, and efficient manner.
• Use required hand and air powered tools, measuring instruments and gauges.
• Participate in daily workplace organization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
• Requires ability to work from assembly drawings, process sheets and standard work and may include ability to learn how to operate and make routine adjustments to various machines.
• Requires the ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to safely lift up to 35 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
