Nocturnist
We are seeking a Nocturnist to join our elite team at Ascension St. Vincent (86th St - Main Campus) in Indianapolis, IN. The schedule includes 135 contracted shifts, 121 scheduled shifts, and a rotation of 7 on & 14 off with 14 for jeopardy. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills, coordinating discharge planning with case management, recommending, participating in, and working to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients, accepting patient referrals from other physicians, acting as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients, participating in academic programs, providing appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements, appealing all denials in a timely manner, and participating in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
