Automotive Technician Program Coordinator
Compensation Range: $48,722.98 - $77,291.46 Position Summary: Hiring Salary Range: $48,722.98 to $53,595.27 depending on qualifications. The position organizes, schedules, coordinates and monitors a PSAV program to ensure effective operations and activities in compliance with state and federal standards and guidelines. In addition, it provides instructions for certain programs, prepares required reports, and maintains records. Job Duties: Organizes, schedules and coordinates an automotive technician program. Prepares the activities required of the program. Ensures adequate supplies and equipment are available. Ensure proper maintenance of facilities and equipment. Monitors, verifies, administers and records standardized examinations in accordance with college procedures of post-secondary adult vocation programs. Monitors all phases of ongoing programs and prepares and submits reports to ensure adherence to all standards and guidelines. Interviews, screens and recommends certified instructors to hire. May also provide instructional support for program(s). Evaluates instructors, courses and curriculum to ensure effective program provided for students. Solicits input from outside agencies regarding courses needed for program certification or to enhance program offerings. Works with surrounding dealerships to place students and ensure NATAF certification of program. Coordinates the program budget with college procedures. Performs other similar and related duties. Supplemental Job Information: This full-time position requires the employee to coordinate and teach an 1800-clock hour curriculum for service technicians to maintain and repair Heavy Equipment in accordance with the guidelines established by the Florida Department of Education and National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). Required Qualifications: The position requires at least a bachelor's degree and at least three years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education. Technical certification and/or license may also be required for some programs. Preferred Qualifications: Prior vocational teaching experience. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications in T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, and T8 or equivalent certifications in Heavy Equipment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook. Close Date: Open Until Filled.
