Whiting-Turner is looking for a self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, technology-driven person to join our internal Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team. Responsibilities
Understand building construction, engineering, and/or architecture. Have on-the-job or class experience with BIM software programs and technology. Thrive in a team environment, contributing to larger projects and producing independent work. Bring an innately curious, forward-thinking mindset to push innovative ideas in daily tasks. Be able to multi-task and deliver parallel, successful products. Create virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences. Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from project kickoff through closeout. Perform preconstruction model tasks – quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-up production. Drive research and development of new software, hardware, and technology to optimize the team’s execution and overall project quality. Qualifications
Understand building construction, engineering, and/or architecture. Experience with BIM software programs and related technology. Ability to thrive in a team environment and contribute to projects while also delivering independent work. Curious, forward-thinking mindset to push innovative ideas in daily tasks.
