Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician specializing in PLC/Electronics, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. Your expertise in inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing various systems will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities: Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and install machinery and equipment. Monitor equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss variations with team members to diagnose problems. Install, repair, or replace electrical devices such as transformers, relays, circuit breakers, starters, and switches. Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Install, program, and troubleshoot automated machinery and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Install, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment. Service and repair material handling equipment. Monitor main electrical panel and troubleshoot as necessary. Repair and maintain boilers, water heaters, water conditioning equipment, and water distribution systems. Follow established preventative maintenance guidelines and coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance. Maintain building through painting, repairing minor structural problems, and other necessary repairs. Ensure adherence to safety and government guidelines by identifying and resolving safety issues with machines. Assist in controlling and scheduling projects, monitoring inventory, and recommending energy usage improvements. Essential Skills: Proficiency in HVAC, PLC troubleshooting, PLC control, electrical and industrial maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Experience with preventive maintenance, schematics, 3-phase systems, blueprints, conveyors, and motors. EPA Refrigeration Certification (Type II or equivalent). Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School Diploma or Technical School Training with two years of experience, or 3 to 4 years of related experience. Licensed journeyman of a skilled trade is preferred. Basic computer skills for word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical, and electrical schematic diagrams. Strong communication skills to present information effectively. Work Environment: The work environment frequently exposes team members to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to wet, humid, and extreme weather conditions. There is a moderate to high noise level, and safety awareness is paramount to ensure a safe workplace. Team members must be prepared for risks such as electrical shock, explosion, and vibration. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
