A law firm seeks a mid-level Real Estate Finance Associate to join its growing team in Baltimore, MD. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled attorney to engage in complex real estate transactions with a focus on affordable housing and community development. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative environment while handling a variety of legal matters related to commercial real estate finance.
Duties
Represent lending institutions in commercial real estate finance transactions, with a strong emphasis on affordable housing matters. Advise clients on multifaceted real estate finance transactions, including agency financing transactions involving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Collaborate closely with business teams, clients, and legal colleagues to ensure successful deal structuring and execution. Provide strategic insights on affordable housing policies and mixed-use community development matters. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and legal quality. Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in commercial real estate finance within a law firm environment. Strong background in representing lending institutions, particularly in the affordable housing sector. Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac agency financing transactions is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal issues in real estate finance. Proven track record of delivering effective results in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Must be admitted to practice in Maryland (MD Bar). Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Strong academic performance is required. Certifications
Active membership in the Maryland State Bar. Skills
