Hood Container Corporation is seeking a skilled
Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician
to join our team on
1st shift
in
Louisville, KY . If you're a proactive problem solver with strong
electrical,
mechanical, and troubleshooting skills,
we want to hear from you!
What You'll Do Perform
preventative maintenance (PM)
and general maintenance tasks across
electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic
systems. Troubleshoot and repair
plant equipment, following established safety and operational procedures. Read and interpret
electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
for troubleshooting and repairs. Work with
variable speed AC/DC drives, servo motion controls, encoders, and PLC-controlled equipment . Conduct
root cause failure analysis
and implement long-term solutions. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities using the plant's system. Continuously improve
machine reliability
and
maintenance procedures . Follow
OSHA and Hood Container safety standards , including energy isolation protocols. Work with
vision and robotic systems
(a plus). Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. What You Bring
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED
required. 3+ years of maintenance experience
in a production or manufacturing setting (corrugated/packaging experience is a plus). Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of
mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems . Experience reading
electrical meters and schematics . Proficiency with
power tools, welding, and electrical troubleshooting . Basic computer skills and ability to document maintenance work accurately. Physical & Work Requirements:
Ability to lift
50 lbs. repeatedly
and perform physical tasks such as
bending, kneeling, and overhead work . Work in environments with
moving machinery, extreme temperatures (-20°F to 125°F), and at heights up to 38 feet . Flexibility to work
