Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the Alumni Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight and management of Recovery Community Center in accordance with Agency plan. Coordinates with partners, Recovery Community Center staff, and peers. Assist in data collection and reporting. Monitor and Manage client engagement within the application . The following duties will apply:

Duties

Facilitates motivational team building and group supervision.

Recruit Volunteers through various techniques (databases, email, social media etc.)

Provides direct oversite to Peers on a regular basis by various audits and observations and coordinates appropriate support/supervision as needed.

Esnure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner in compliance with Agency/OASAS regulations, practices, policies & procedures.

Complete staff evaluations as prescribed by the agency.

Engages with FLACRA Alumni and prospective Volunteers; coordinates volunteer activities for the Recovery Center and volunteer opportunities within the community.

Communicat e with Volunteers and Alumni regularly to ensure that they are satisfied and needs are being met.

Plans events for FLACRA Alumni and Volunteers with the Sr. Director and FLACRA Marketing department.

Recruits for and participates in the Recovery Center Advisory Committee.

Leads Recovery Center staff to expertise in customer service and engagement through role-modeling.

Assesses staff and Volunteer training needs. Participates in the development of staff and Volunteer training.

Develops and maintain positive and effective relationships with community groups, referral sources and service agencies.

Recruits, interviews, and training staff for the Recovery Center.

Works with the Senior Director to ensure appropriate staffing for the Recovery Center.

Ensure staff complete appropriate follow-up with all referral sources to advise of referent status and to request and receive additional required information and/or documents.

Maintain required reporting, records and statistics as directed.

Development and implementation, maintenance of the Recovery Community Center

Perform other duties and functions as directed

Job Requirements:

Implement the volunteer training program and volunteer orientation

Ensure provision of grief support

Provide direct social work services

Coordinate annual volunteer recognition events

Maintain a volunteer database to track volunteer hours and data

Assess patient/family request for volunteer placement and assign volunteer

Provide ongoing volunteer recognition to include an annual volunteer recognition event

Provide non-clinical volunteer supervision and volunteer assignment of duties

Assess needs for volunteer assistance

Represent the organization at volunteer coordinator events

Assist with maintaining volunteer database

Participate in volunteer recruitment, conduct volunteer interviews training and education

Facilitate volunteer orientation and training

Coordinate and supervise volunteer activities

Develop and prepare educational materials for volunteer training and volunteer newsletter

Assessing the volunteer program to determine effectiveness and improve volunteer retention

Work with staff and volunteers to engage volunteers in a positive volunteer experience

Posting of current volunteer opportunities

Provide evaluations of volunteer programs

Represent the volunteer program within the community
