We are looking for a motivated and inspired Senior Cloud Architect to join our Engineering and Operations and Sustainment (O&S) team to provide technical architecture leadership, vision, and direction. We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Systems Architect to design, implement, and manage multi-domain cloud-based solutions containing both Linux and Windows hosts. The program supports a key government customer in a fast paced, challenging, and career rewarding experience. This program delivers cloud-based engineering services with modern technology solutions. As a mission-focused Architect, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of cloud computing technology and multi-domain infrastructure as well as experience successfully designing, executing, migrating, and managing multiple environments with various access restrictions (multi-domain) applications to the cloud. You will also need to recognize the issue(s), identify the facts, define additional data that would be helpful, make assumptions as necessary, determine alternative approaches, evaluate alternatives, make recommendations, alter assumptions and rework solutions, and reflect on lessons learned. Provide technical architecture leadership, vision, and direction for the Engineering and Operations and Sustainment (O&S) team. Design, implement, and manage multi-domain cloud-based solutions on AWS, including Linux and Windows hosts. Migrate and manage multiple environments with various access restrictions (multi-domain) to the cloud; design, execute, and optimize cloud-based engineering services with modern technology solutions. Identify issues, gather required data, make informed assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and communicate recommendations; reflect on lessons learned to improve solutions. Develop and document architectural standards and roadmaps; provide strategic direction for future technology and architectural advancements to support the customer 1s vision and goals. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and ensure cloud solutions meet business objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the cloud environment; implement improvements and optimizations as needed. Train team members to effectively use the implemented cloud systems. Ensure solutions and infrastructures align with the companys IT security standards. Develop technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications. Document and provide strategic direction, roadmaps, and standards for cloud architecture. Develop high-level system specifications and maintain architecture design standards within the models. Collaborate with engineers regarding design solutions and evaluate current and emerging technologies for impact. Develop and maintain knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes). Apply Infrastructure as Code and Agile development principles; support SELC (Systems Engineering Lifecycle) with hands-on execution. Operate with independence and a results-driven mindset. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelors or Masters Degree in a STEM program and a minimum of ten (10) years of executing successful architectural solutions. Demonstrated experience in cloud architecture design, implementation, and enhancements of an auto-scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, cross-domain (multiple domains with various access level restrictions) on AWS. Minimum of 5 years managing engineers or similar technical staff. Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally to integrate new technologies into existing environments and ensure that cloud solutions meet business objectives. Expert ability to troubleshoot identifying and resolving technical issues within the cloud system, making necessary adjustments or recommendations for improvements. Experience training team members to effectively use the implemented cloud systems. Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect. Strong technical expertise in designing and building modern, forward-leaning cloud solutions meeting customer expectations (including on-demand access, multiple approval levels, fully automated CI/CD pipelines, fully integrated RBACs, low maintenance infrastructure, SSO, etc.). Ensure solutions and infrastructures align with companys IT security standards. Generate technical specifications to design and/or redesign complex software components and applications. Ability to document and provide strategic direction, roadmap, and standards. Significant experience creating and maintaining architecture design and standards within the models. Ability to develop high-level system specifications. Deep understanding/experience in AWS Cloud technology enabling you to design solutions addressing complex needs for multifaceted applications and IT systems. Ability to provide Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC) support to include hands-on execution. Ability to collaborate with engineers regarding design solutions. Strong ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies identifying solution impact. Ability to work independently and possess an aptitude for getting things done. Develop future technology and architectural advancements to support the customers vision and goals. Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.). Knowledge of containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge and familiarity of implementing Infrastructure as Code. Knowledge and familiarity of Agile development principles. Significant Linux and Windows experience. Experience implementing automated testing. Knowledge of Security Development Operations (SecDevOps) on iterative development projects. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). Knowledge of modern software languages (e.g., Python, Bash Scripting, JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.). Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $146,670 - $249,330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
