Remote Ip Network Lifecycle Engineer
Insight Global is seeking a remote IP Network Lifecycle Engineer to support our telecommunications client. The role is responsible for migrating services from legacy, end-of-life network equipment to modern platforms, primarily focusing on packet-based technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Brocade) with some TDM systems (WDM, SONET). This role involves identifying active services through databases, diagrams, and direct equipment queries, planning and executing migrations across various service layers (L1L3, MPLS, SONET, T1), and ensuring accurate configuration across vendor platforms. Engineers will coordinate with field teams for physical changes, validate service integrity pre- and post-migration, and troubleshoot issues. Additional responsibilities include decommissioning legacy hardware, ensuring compliance with asset disposal and security protocols, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting for project tracking and leadership update. The schedule is 8-5 AKDT. Skills and Requirements: 6-8 years of experience with the configuration of Cisco, Nokia, and Juniper routers or switches Experience with migration or decommissioning projects Experience creating and editing network drawings using Microsoft Visio application Experience writing MOPs Experience with common transport technologies such as Ethernet, SONET, TDM, Fiber, Microwave, Satellite, WiFi, cellular, etc Certifications in: Cisco CCNA / CCNP Nokia NRS I / NRS II Brocade BCNE / BCNP Juniper JNCIA / JNCIS
