CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking an Overhead Electric Transmission Engineer IV to join our Power and Manufacturing - Electric Transmission and Substations Team at our Atlanta, GA office or working remotely. This position offers fully remote capabilities; however, occasional on-site responsibilities may be required if you are located near a CHA office. Our dedicated team of electric transmission and substation professionals prioritizes safety and technical excellence - from initial surveying and assessment to planning, permitting, research, and comprehensive design and engineering. We are committed to delivering top-tier solutions for both new and existing electrical power infrastructure. We specialize in all types and the full spectrum of power delivery systems. Whether it's AC or DC, overhead or underground, submarine, or indoor/outdoor installations, we cover it all. Our expertise extends to various insulation mediums, including air, gas, liquid, or solid, catering to transmission, distribution, and generation needs. We seamlessly handle AC/DC conversion across diverse applications, from traditional fossil fuels to cutting-edge renewable energy projects, and our proficiency extends to working with electrical-mechanical systems, seamlessly transitioning from legacy to intelligent protection and control systems. At CHA, our Overhead Electric Transmission Engineer IV provides advanced judgment and analysis techniques for the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. This key role is responsible for planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. The Overhead Electric Transmission Engineer IV mentors junior staff members and provides technical review of their work as needed. The Overhead Electric Transmission Engineer IV recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures as well as selects proper procedures to self-check his/her own work for completeness and accuracy in technical reports and calculations. The professional in this role identifies, develops, and gathers technical resources necessary to complete assignments. This Overhead Electric Transmission Engineer IV continuously monitors the progress and performance of the engineering design development against the project work plan. Requirements: Bachelors degree in engineering required Professional Engineer (PE) license required Minimum of 4 years of discipline specific engineering experience required Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with the proven ability to practically apply engineering best practices Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, PLS-CADD, etc.) Familiar with QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences Proficiency with MS Office software required An active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
