Entry Level Production Assembler - Poway - 1st Shift - $18.50/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated production assembler to perform basic assembly work. This role involves interpreting drawings and assembly instructions, operating production machines to meet established standards, and using hand tools for product assembly. The position requires noticing workmanship defects, reporting flaws immediately, detecting machine or tool malfunctions, and preparing parts for painting and shipping. Maintaining a clean and safe environment and documenting production activities are crucial responsibilities. Other tasks may include counting, packaging, labeling, or bagging produced parts or raw materials in preparation for kitting.
Responsibilities
Interpret drawings and assembly instructions.
Operate production machines to produce parts according to standards.
Use hand tools for assembly.
Identify and report workmanship defects or flaws.
Detect and report machine or tool malfunctions.
Prepare parts for painting and shipping.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Document production activities as requested.
Perform related tasks such as counting, packaging, labeling, or bagging.
Occasionally use a microscope for small part mechanical assembly.
Essential Skills
6+ months of production experience.
Proficiency in using hand tools.
Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity and quick learning ability.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Adequate math, reading, and reasoning abilities.
Organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Positive attitude and ability to work overtime.

Work Environment
The work environment is manufacturing casual, requiring closed-toe shoes, pants, t-shirts, with jackets permitted. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime. Employees must be comfortable parking and walking 2-3 minutes to the site in the morning, which may be dark at this time. The role is primarily a sit-down position with some standing and light lifting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
