Job Description

Oversee product design projects from concept through launch, collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying lean development methods. Work effectively both independently and in team settings. Expertise in plastics (injection molding) and metals (stamping, machining). Knowledge of connector manufacturing processes including die stamping, molding, crimping, ultrasonic welding, and assembly. Prepare engineering documentation in SolidWorks or CREO with ePDM, including BOMs, ECNs, and drawings. Develop and execute test plans to validate product requirements. Perform or coordinate testing with labs to qualify designs and gain technical insights. Ensure accuracy and quality of engineering work. Collaborate with external engineering services or suppliers as needed. Apply creativity to generate design concepts and efficient development solutions. Engage in ongoing training and skill development. Communicate effectively with customers regarding technical documents. Incorporate continuous improvement practices into daily work. Follow established safety, engineering, and organizational policies and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S). Perform additional duties as assigned. The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Mechanical Engineering preferred Minimum of 5 Years experience in Connector Product Design Required Possess desire and ability to work cross functionally to develop and launch new innovative designs Knowledge of and Experience with standards such as MIL-DTL-5015, MIL-DTL-38999, MIL-DTL-28482 , UL, IEC, etc Excellent Creo and Solidworks skills with commitment to best modeling practices Connector testing experience required; including but not limited to tensile testing, cross-sections, temperature rise, and Mil spec testing. Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Hybrid Opportunity Health Insurace PTO / Vacation
