Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for sterilizing, processing, and maintaining supplies, instruments, and equipment in a fast-paced healthcare environment, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts (5 shifts per week), and evening shifts (3:00pm start time). In addition to the base pay, the position is eligible for shift differential (evenings - up to an additional $1.90/hr). Up to $5,000 Sign-on Bonus Available! As a successful candidate, you will: Supply Sterilization: Perform the decontamination, cleaning, disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of medical instruments, supplies, and equipment using approved sterilization techniques and equipment. Supply Restocking: Replenish and maintain storage of supplies and case cart systems to ensure the availability of sterile equipment and instruments for surgical and medical procedures. Inventory Control: Manage inventory control procedures, including labeling and proper documentation of sterilized packages, and monitor inventory levels to meet departmental needs. GI Scope Processing: Process and maintain endoscopic instruments, including GI scopes, to the highest standards, ensuring patient safety and infection control. Quality Assurance: Report faulty equipment, deficiencies in procedures, and non-compliance with sterilization standards, contributing to the safety and quality of patient care. Educational Participation: Actively participate in educational programs and in-service meetings to stay updated on best practices, new technologies, and changes in sterilization protocols. Timeliness: Perform all duties efficiently and under urgent timelines to support surgical schedules and patient care. Qualifications Your qualifications should include: Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements. Certified Registered Central Service Technician or 1 year of sterile processing experience in an acute care setting. Maintains knowledge in surgical and medical technology through inservices/courses. BLS (through the American Heart Association), is required. CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) is preferred.
