Are you ready for your next challenge? Serco is seeking an experienced professional to support OPNAV N96 who is responsible for determining surface combatant force levels, shipboard and related support requirements, and major characteristics of programs involving weapon systems, cruisers, destroyers, frigates, command ships, patrol craft, and littoral combat ships. The candidate for this position will provide on-site support, logistic analysis, and integration support to N96 in accordance with DoD program management policies for logistic support to Navy surface ship equipment and systems. Active Secret Security Clearance Is Required To Be Considered For This Position. In This Role You Will: Develop and maintain a detailed process map and playbook for planning, programming, and budgeting of interim and outfitting spares. Identify, justify and manage the logistics resource requirements needed to maintain and operate surface ship systems, with emphasis on spare parts requirements and resourcing. Monitor and report on programs and projects to ensure proper logistic support is included in program management and resourcing. Coordinate weekly with SEA06 and track OPN-8 procurements. Develop weekly cannibalization reports from TYCOMs. Identify common problems. Recommend course of action to correct supply issues. Generate metrics, as needed. Develop program briefs on spares status as requested. Manage status of CG Mod and DDG Mod interim spares procurement. Coordinate with PMS407,PMS443, and SEA06. Generate status reports as requested to track procurements. Develop methods for securing the kind of data needed to assure that management will be able to effectively develop and/or execute various phases of the program/project. Support studies that examine all phases of a system or platform's lifecycle. Maintain and track internal and external taskers. Maintain daily liaison with Operations, Maintenance and Modernization branch leadership. Participate in Government/Contractor meetings as well as other interagency government meetings as required. To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have: Active Secret security clearance. US Citizenship HS Diploma/GED 9 years of experience in performing logistics functions at headquarters or program level and/or applying concepts, policies, requirements processes, and program guidance. A Bachelors degree may be substituted for 4 additional years of experience. Knowledge of spare parts policies and procedures for Navy ships, submarines, squadrons and/or shore units (or other service). Ability to produce briefing slides, metric charts, program schedules, and organizational charts. Proficient in MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. 10% travel required. Additional Desired Experience And Skills: Support staff experience at OPNAV, NAVSEA, NAVAIR, SPAWAR/NAVWAR or Program Executive Offices (PEOs)/Program Offices directly supporting ships, submarines and aircraft. Experience includes regular interactions with staff and senior leadership internal and external to affiliated organization.
