AmeriCorps NCCC
AmeriCorps NCCC is a full-time, limited-term service program for young adults. During an 11-month term as a FEMA Corps Team Leader, you can expect to
Lead a team of 8-12 other young adults
Travel the country, all expenses paid
Complete 3-6 different service projects with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA Corps service projects focus on disaster mitigation, planning, preparedness, and response. Examples include connecting disaster survivors with benefits, managing warehouses of supplies, evaluating emergency shelters, and more.
Gain leadership experience, including managing a team budget, coordinating logistics, tracking and reporting project data, ensuring the safety of your team, and upholding AmeriCorps NCCC policies and procedures.
Earn the Segal Education Award, which can be used to pay for educational expenses and qualified student loans

Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be over 18 years old
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel throughout the United States and U.S. territories
Must be able to earn a Public Trust Clearance
Time Commitment: 40 hours per week from January - November 2026
This is an entry level role - no degree or emergency management experience required to apply. Applicants should have some leadership experience.
