The Day-to-Day
You will work closely with the Data Engineering team and the Data Science team, solving a wide variety of engineering challenges using Clojure and free software tools on AWS, working with high-availability distributed systems.
MUST HAVE
Strong creative problem-solver with a love of the craft Industry experience with Clojure Excellent written English communication Self-directed, capable of making progress with little oversight
GREAT TO HAVE
Experience with distributed systems (e.g., microservices, fault-tolerant architectures) Proficiency in Kafka and Redis (for real-time streaming and in-memory caching) Hands-on with containerization and orchestrationDocker and Kubernetes DevOps mindset, enabling deployment and automation of containerized workloads Performance tuning expertise (profiling, benchmarking, latency optimization) Familiarity with data science workflows, analytics pipelines, or ML support Domain knowledge in video, MarTech, AdTech, and data connectivity

$130,000 - $165,000 a year. In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viants reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role.
