About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Customs Compliance Specialist to oversee U.S. import operations and manage relationships with customs brokers and freight forwarders. This role ensures compliance with U.S. CBP regulations, supports Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, and drives process improvements across trade compliance functions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive customs compliance experience, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and the ability to thrive in a bilingual English / Korean business environment. Responsibilities

Oversee daily U.S. import customs clearance to ensure compliance with CBP and other regulatory requirements. Serve as the primary liaison with external customs brokers and freight forwarders, managing performance and resolving issues. Administer Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations, including recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance management. Maintain import documentation, including HTS classifications, country of origin data, and product valuation records. Partner with internal teams (logistics, procurement, legal) to align import operations with business objectives and compliance standards. Conduct audits of customs entries and broker activities to verify accuracy and compliance. Support internal and external audits, including CBP reviews. Monitor and interpret updates to U.S. trade regulations (CBP, USMCA, and other trade agreements). Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within customs and import operations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 7 years of experience in customs compliance, import operations, or international logistics (manufacturing environment preferred). Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean required. Experience managing third-party customs brokers and logistics service providers. Experience with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) operations preferred. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) certification preferred. Skills

Strong knowledge of customs compliance, finance, accounting, and global sourcing. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset. Proven ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple projects. Flexible schedule to support global operations and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Benefits
