Security Analyst

We are seeking a Security Analyst to play a key role in monitoring, investigating, and responding to threats across our enterprise environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of modern security platforms, with experience in one or more of the following: endpoint security, phishing defense, email protection, or user awareness platforms. This role is hands-on, with direct ownership of detection, response, and prevention activities. Key responsibilities include: Leading security monitoring and incident response activities across multiple security platforms. Administering, tuning, and optimizing tools such as CrowdStrike, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender/DLP, KnowBe4, and/or PhishER. Investigating and responding to phishing campaigns, malware activity, and endpoint threats. Configuring and enhancing security controls to reduce risks and false positives. Collaborating with IT teams to harden systems, improve security posture, and close identified gaps. Documenting incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and providing recommendations to leadership. Supporting compliance initiatives and aligning practices with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, etc.). Required skills and experience include: 35+ years of experience in a SOC, blue team, or security operations role. Hands-on expertise with at least one or more of the following: CrowdStrike Falcon (endpoint detection & response), Mimecast (email security), Microsoft Defender / DLP (endpoint & data protection), KnowBe4 (security awareness/phishing simulations), PhishER (phishing triage/automation). Strong understanding of phishing, malware, and common attack vectors. Ability to conduct complex investigations and provide technical recommendations. Familiarity with SIEM tools and scripting (PowerShell/Python) is a plus. Preferred qualifications include: Security certifications (Security+, CISM, CISA, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Microsoft Security, etc.). Experience with playbook development, automation, or SOAR integrations. Knowledge of advanced threat hunting and red/blue team exercises. No 3rd parties. Why choose Addison IT?
