Director for Annual Philanthropy & Stewardship at the University of Washington Tacoma. This is a full-time permanent position within UW Tacoma Advancement and focuses on annual philanthropy and donor stewardship for gifts up to $25,000. Overview

The Director for Annual Philanthropy and Stewardship collaborates with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development to create and execute UW Tacoma's annual philanthropy and stewardship strategy, including the annual fundraising plan, digital and direct mail campaigns and a donor-centered stewardship program. The role leads efforts to cultivate, engage, solicit and steward both annual and major donors, working closely with deans, faculty, staff, donors, volunteers and the broader community. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor, the Director will join a team that values collaboration, relationship-building, accountability, creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and impact, working in partnership with teams across the UW. UW Tacoma has an exciting opening for a Director for Annual Philanthropy & Stewardship. This is a full-time permanent position. What You Will Do: Lead fundraising projects in support of vital campus programs and initiatives such as general scholarship support, emergency aid and the Chancellor's Excellence Fund. Develop and lead UW Tacomas annual philanthropy strategy, leveraging digital, direct mail, and community-based campaigns such as Husky Giving Day and Giving Tuesday to engage faculty, staff, alumni, volunteers and the broader community. Create and manage digital strategies including e-solicitations and online giving campaigns to drive donor engagement across digital platforms. Utilize data to inform strategies and results. Support marketing and communications by identifying impactful stories and contributing content as needed. Solicit UW Tacomas volunteer boards annually in coordination with frontline fundraisers and the Corporate and Foundations Relations Director. Collaborate with the central Annual Philanthropy team to create UW Tacomas annual philanthropy and stewardship content and strategy.

Customized Stewardship Tracking, Reporting and Gift Acknowledgement Design, launch and manage a stewardship program to ensure donors receive personalized, timely communication that expresses impact and appreciation. Collaborate with UW Tacomas frontline fundraising team to design and manage individualized stewardship plans, including prompting, coordinating and supporting appropriate faculty and staff involvement. Create compelling reports, presentations and other stewardship resources. Work closely with Marketing and Communications and Events teams in generating stewardship-focused event materials.

Strategy and Program Development Partner with the Associate Vice Chancellor for Development to develop and execute philanthropic strategic priorities for UW Tacoma. Build and implement an annual philanthropy plan, including fundraising goals, objectives and strategies. Provide strategic leadership in designing and implementing development programs to sustain and increase private support. Evaluate, assess and report regularly on program progress.

Other duties as assigned A bachelors degree AND at least four years of experience in development or advancement, with an emphasis on annual philanthropy and stewardship. Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. What You Bring: Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to write concisely and persuasively. Writing samples will be requested. Demonstrated advanced data analysis skills. Self-starter focused on creating positive external and internal relationships. Proficiency working with relational databases and Microsoft Word and Excel for the generation of correspondence and reports. What You Can Expect:

Ability to work evenings and weekend hours, as necessary, or on short or limited notice. Must have regular and reliable transportation for local travel and willing to travel when necessary. Frequent local travel expected.
