ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and career-orientated Chiller Technician to join our Charlottesville HVAC team!

As a Chiller Technician, you will utilize your in-depth knowledge and HVAC experience to troubleshoot and service complex chilled water systems, boilers, commercial HVAC systems, and associated control systems. Additionally, you will have opportunities to lead other HVAC technicians and apprentices

What you will do:

Use your advanced skills and HVAC experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chilled water systems (especially, centrifugal chillers), medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems, boilers and associated control systems

Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components

Primary areas of expertise include chilled water systems (centrifugal, reciprocating, absorption, and screw chillers), rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, boilers, and pneumatic and electrical control systems

Provide guidance and demonstrate best practices to other HVAC technicians and Apprentices

What we are looking for:

Current or previous work experience as a HVAC Service Technician specializing in troubleshooting and repairing chilled water systems

Working experience with boilers

Highly skilled at diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on chilled water systems, commercial HVAC systems, and related controls

Preferred, but not required: Journeyman or Master’s HVAC License

Universal EPA certification

Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations

Communication and customer services skills
