We are partnering with a venture-backed startup in San Francisco that is building a modern AI-powered platform with a strong focus on user experience and subscription engagement. The team is small, fast-moving, and looking for a Senior Founding Engineer to join at an early stage and make a meaningful impact across the stack.
This is an opportunity to help shape the product, technical foundations, and engineering culture while working on a problem space that touches millions of users worldwide.
What You'll Do Contribute across the full stack, building a modern Rust and React product with real-world impact. Collaborate with product, design, and leadership teams to bring ideas to life quickly. Drive development of back-end infrastructure, AI/ML-driven insights, and intuitive user experiences. Help define the technical roadmap, architecture, and best practices. Experiment with features and workflows that improve customer retention and engagement. Play a key role in setting the pace, velocity, and culture of a growing engineering team. What We're Looking For
We know no single background fits every great engineer, but here are a few signals of strong candidates: 3+ years of experience building and scaling complex full-stack applications. Experience launching products from scratch (web, backend, or mobile). Comfort making tradeoffs between shipping fast, experimenting, and building long-term platforms. Exposure to AI/ML, LLMs, or interest in learning. Familiarity with e-commerce, subscription, or payments systems. Experience deploying to cloud platforms and working comfortably in a terminal. A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and product mindset. Bonus: entrepreneurial drive, startup experience, or attempts at building something of your own. What's on Offer:
