2nd Shift, M-F: 3pm - 11:30pm (OT required during the week and on Saturday/Sunday when needed) (will train on 1st shift for up to 3 months - 6:00am - 2:30pm_ Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 (DOE)
Position Overview: Seeking a talented individual to perform hand grinding of landing gear components. The selected candidate will perform deburr operations such as breaking sharp edges before and after machining, blending surface mismatches, glass and plastic bead blast to remove organic finishes, general cleaning operations of parts and materials, perform polishing operations and complete raw materials processing (sawing to length and identification of material with pneumatic scribe).
Responsibilities:
Reports directly to department Lead. Identify surface defects such as wear and corrosion. Perform in-process checks when required. Verify that correct paperwork is with part. Perform minor clean-up operations when necessary.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Previous employment experience in machine shop or production. Practical experience with the procedures, practices, inspection methods, materials, tools, and equipment generally used in the work for which the repair station is rated. General knowledge of setting up, loading, and adjusting deburr equipment. Must be able to perform measurements w/ micrometers and other inspection tools such as but not limited to: Dial bore Gages, Telescope Gages, Height Gages, indicators, and thread measuring systems. Must be able to identify different plated surfaces such as: chrome plate, nickel plate, cad plate, and various thermal sprayed surfaces while taking the necessary precautions to protect these surfaces. Must understand inspection stamps and their application. Knowledge and experience in reading shop travelers. Knowledgeable and experienced in operating pneumatic scribe. The ability to read, write and understand English Detail oriented Ability to read and understand OHM/ CMM's, blueprints, shop travelers and sketches
