Microsoft Corporation
The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is driving marketing transformation across Microsoft’s largest and fastest-growing commercial cloud businesses. We are seeking a bold, strategic, and culturally fluent Social Lead to shape and scale Microsoft Azure’s social presence — with a particular emphasis on AI storytelling and developer mindshare . As part of the GME&E Social & Creative team, this role is responsible for the strategic direction, creative, and performance oversight of the Microsoft Azure social ecosystem. You’ll work across a dynamic set of channels (including TikTok, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Facebook, X, Reddit, and LinkedIn) to drive platform-native engagement and brand relevance among commercial and technical audiences. Ideal candidates bring deep platform knowledge, strong editorial and creative instincts, and a passion for innovation. You should be energized by emerging trends, fluent in B2B dynamics, and confident presenting to all level stakeholders. Collaboration, clarity, and experimentation is key.
Responsibilities
• Lead social strategy, editorial planning, and content development for Microsoft Azure and Fabric owned social channels.
• Translate business goals and messaging priorities into audience-first, channel-specific content strategies that drive measurable impact.
• Brief and guide creative teams and agency partners in developing high-quality, social-native content — from evergreen editorial to tentpole campaigns.
• Manage editorial calendars across platforms, aligning to product launches, events, cultural moments, and marketing priorities.
• Serve as the social voice of Microsoft Azure in cross-functional forums, v-teams, and business reviews.
• Stay attuned to cultural trends, competitor activity, and social innovation — and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Manage social agencies and vendors supporting Azure channels, including performance tracking, feedback loops, and operational alignment.
• Collaborate across brand, integrated marketing, analytics, engineering, and product teams to ensure Azure content is accurate, strategic, and high-impact.
• Drive internal alignment through storytelling, stakeholder education, and regular insight sharing across marketing and business stakeholders.
