Job Description
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Estimator | Healthcare & Education | Houston
Prepare detailed cost estimates for large, complex projects across multiple sectors. Review and interpret plans, specs, and addenda for accuracy and scope. Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing. Lead preconstruction efforts including budgeting, scheduling, and value engineering. Collaborate with project managers, executives, and clients to align on scope and cost. Maintain historical cost data and market pricing knowledge to inform bids. Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and delivered on time. The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Estimator | Healthcare & Education | Houston
7-15+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction (ground-up, tilt-wall, healthcare, institutional, or other relevant sectors). Proven track record winning bids on mid-to-large scale projects ($20M-$200M+). Strong technical knowledge of construction means, methods, and market costs. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., OST, Sage, ProEst, Bluebeam, Excel). Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, subs, and internal teams. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to identify cost-saving opportunities. Tenure and stability with prior employers, showing reliability and long-term commitment. What's on Offer
