Overview
Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer with related environmental experience to add to our Environmental Services global practice engineering team in Englewood, CO. The position offers the opportunity to practice in a variety of technical areas, including site civil design, solid waste infrastructure, hydraulic analyses and stormwater management, regulatory compliance, construction documents, and construction management. The role will require technical leadership and mentorship of early career team members. Responsibilities
Leading or supporting engineering teams to deliver well-coordinated, high-quality designs for civil or environmental engineering projects Coordinating and supporting all aspects of multidisciplinary projects with varying degrees of technical complexity Preparing documentation for design projects, including design criteria, technical letters, memorandums, reports, drawings, detailed design packages, and cost estimates Directing and reviewing work products prepared by early career engineering staff Providing technical leadership and quality reviews aligned with experience Project management duties including executing project scope, budget, schedule, quality, safety, and client expectations Establishing client relations and involvement with marketing, contractual, management, and design meetings Championing QA/QC procedures Executing internal personnel training Other duties, as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program 3 years minimum related professional environmental engineering experience (6 years preferred); previous consulting experience is strongly preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D PE license preferred Experience overseeing construction and an understanding of construction methods and procedures Project management or assistant project management experience Strong knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques and procedures Self-motivation and the ability to self-manage and multi-task (write reports, analyze data, perform design tasks, etc.) Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and ability to work within a team framework Ability to travel and work in the field, up to 10%, as required Compensation
$100,000.00-155,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program. Benefits
