Job Title: Aruba Network Administrator
We are looking for a skilled Aruba Network Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In this role, you will focus on supporting critical network projects and maintaining IT infrastructure. This is a fully onsite position requiring collaboration with the internal IT team to ensure optimal performance and security of the network systems. Responsibilities: Configure and deploy Aruba switches throughout campus locations, ensuring seamless integration. Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including Aruba wireless systems and Palo Alto firewalls. Support network segmentation projects using GlobalProtect and Palo Alto technologies. Assist with Active Directory and Microsoft Azure/Entra ID administration. Provide technical support for VMware servers, Microsoft operating systems, SANs, VLANs, and wireless networking. Apply cybersecurity best practices across all IT systems and processes. Collaborate with IT team members to address tickets and resolve hardware and network-related issues. Perform upgrades and installations outside regular hours to minimize disruption to operations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Google Suite and other enterprise software. Ensure documentation is updated to reflect changes and configurations in the network environment. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Aruba networking equipment; Cisco experience is also valued. Proficiency in Palo Alto firewalls and GlobalProtect technologies. Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Azure/Entra ID. Hands-on experience with VMware servers and SANs. Familiarity with VLANs, wireless networking protocols, and Google Suite. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices. Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
