We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to support procurement activities for Cable Assemblies & Temperature Sensors used in gas turbine engines. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-reliability components that meet aerospace quality standards. The ideal candidate will have aerospace procurement experience, strong supplier management skills, and a solid understanding of technical specifications and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Procurement & Execution:
Source, negotiate, and procure cable assemblies & temperature sensors from approved suppliers. Create and issue purchase orders, manage acknowledgements, delivery schedules, and follow-ups. Supplier Management:
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets. Monitor performance, support audits, and implement corrective actions. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to understand technical requirements and resolve supply issues. Participate in new product development and design change processes. Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure purchases comply with aerospace standards (e.g., AS 9100, FAA, IFTAR). Maintain accurate procurement records within our ERP system (Axiom). Cost & Inventory Management:
Support cost-saving initiatives, monitor inventory levels, and assist with audits to prevent shortages and delays. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or related field 3+ years in aerospace or high-reliability manufacturing procurement Experience with cable assemblies and temperature sensors in gas turbine engines (preferred) Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Axiom) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, FAA, IFTAR) Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred Attributes: API, CS, or CPM certification Experience with supplier development and risk mitigation Technical aptitude to interpret drawings and specifications Knowledge of BOM, lead time planning, and JIT purchasing Understanding of manufacturing terminology and technical drawings Post-offer, candidates will complete additional screening as required by law.
