Job Summary - Senior IS Functional Analyst Maximo
Responsible for gathering design, coordination, testing and support of customer intelligence reporting and the analytic needs. May work as a liaison between IT and Business to ensure proper testing is done to meet requirements. May assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of a particular policy. Identify and implement best practices to communicate and publish. May Coordinate and lead business requirements gathering meetings with management and business users of the company. Possibly ensure that relevant documents of system set up and working practices is established and maintained reflecting any changes as a result of development. Will provide support and training associated with the operation of the systems, including induction and refresher training and arranging externally provided training if required.
Specialized Job Responsibilities
This Business/Functional Analyst role is primarily functional, with some technical components for Maximo and other plant applications. Support and enhance Maximo Work & Asset Management, Health and Safety, and other domain-specific applications in use at Calpine. Responsible for gathering design, coordination, testing of customer intelligence reporting and analytic needs. Will work as a liaison between IT and Business to ensure proper testing is done to meet requirements. May assess the appropriateness and effectiveness of a particular policy or process. Identify and implement best practices to communicate and implement. Will coordinate and lead business requirements gathering meetings with management and business users of the company. Ensure that documentation of system setup and procedures are established and maintained reflecting development or procedural changes. Will provide in-person and remote support and training associated with the operation of the systems, including induction and refresher training, and arranging externally provided training if required.
Senior-level; recognized functional expertise in Maximo and business analysis in general.
Provides solutions for business problems in Maximo requiring specialized knowledge.
Regularly makes decisions on non-routine or escalated issues.
Independently prioritizes and executes responsibilities effectively for a single trade, group of related tasks or functional area.

Regularly provides on-the-job skills training to others in functional areas.
Maximo and other Plant related applications.
Documentation of processes, requirements, data flow diagrams, and creation of training material.
Strong understanding of the functional side of Maximo able to explain/train how to use different Maximo applications and make recommendations on process improvements.
Identify opportunities to automate and lead efforts to do so
Lead UAT efforts, including creation of test scripts and coordination of users
Write SQL queries as needed to support user data requests or reports.
Document report requirements; contribute as capable to write SQL queries.
Perform data validations and uploads.
Support as needed during system outages.
End user support & training.
Functional support for integrations, such as LDAP, PeopleSoft, Coupa, TMST and ECMS.
Work with team to maximize Maximo availability.
Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems
Previous work leadership experience.
7-10 years directly related experience, Advanced certifications/licensures.
