HVAC Airflow Loop Design & Release Engineer

Develop and validate the automotive HVAC unit and duct system to meet performance objectives. Write source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and manage suppliers to meet program timing and deliverables. Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R; support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results; perform data analysis and establish corrective actions as required. Lead virtual teams to design and perform CFD analysis of ducts to meet airflow performance. Support pilot build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of HVAC components. Education
Bachelor of Science (Engineering) from an ABET-accredited university Basic qualifications, experience, and knowledge
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET-accredited university. 3-5 years of experience in HVAC and duct design/development; experience in related areas such as Engine cooling or Aero-Thermal is a plus. Strong PC Skills and MS Office; excellent written, verbal and listening skills; strong interpersonal skills. Self-starter and motivated to produce results. Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R). Basic thermodynamics knowledge. Preferred qualifications
Experience in HVAC, PTCs, ducts and outlets is a plus. Experience using CAD software (NX, Catia, etc.). Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). Basic knowledge in Thermodynamics. All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
