We've got what you're looking for. The Parsons System Administrator (SA) will design, build, and maintain cost-effective information systems. Additionally, the SA will provide responsive IT services and solutions as part of Parsons continued mission to provide exceptional service to its customers. Responsibilities include: System Administration duties include all components of classified information systems. Systems will consist of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux components. Partnering with users and acting as an advocate for their computing needs. Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. A customer-first mindset is required for this position and the candidate must be able to adapt to and respond quickly to challenging problems. Assisting customers, working within various US Government policy frameworks, while still meeting their goals. Assisting Information System Security personnel with documentation required for RMF compliance. Making improvements to and suggestions on our current operations. Researching new technologies, their best practices and implementing those new technologies securely into our environments. Remediating information system vulnerabilities in line with best practices and IAVAs. Effective written and oral communication skills. Requirements: Must be a US citizen. Candidate must be at least IAT II, Security+ CE or other certification. 5 years' experience and bachelor's degree in information systems, or related degree; or equivalent professional experience. Support an air-gapped network, providing hardware/software configuration, deployment, maintenance and management with a focus on Linux systems. Experience of managing an HPC and knowledge of disturbed computing will be beneficial. Familiar with the principles of automation and familiar with PowerShell, bash or ansible. Strong understanding of DNS,DHCP, and knowledge of Active directory. Demonstrated knowledge of current backup hardware and software mechanisms for disaster recovery and continuity of operations. Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with military, civilians, and other DOD contractors. Familiar with US Government policies and directives (e.g., NIST 800-53, NISPOM/32 CFR, JSIG). Experience with RMF accreditation process is a plus. Experience with virtualization technologies and knowledge of their concepts would be preferred. Experience with Proxmox is strongly desired. Preference given to experience with SLURM for managing an HPC. Red Hat Certification, RHCSA or RHCE, would be preferred. Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an active DOD Secret clearance pre-start. Clearance must be active at time of hire. This individual will be required to obtain a CI Polygraph upon hire. This position requires that the candidate be able to acquire and maintain a Top Secret / SCI Security.
